Gimpo International Airport Transfers

There are several ways to transfer yourself and your luggage between Gimpo International Airport and Seoul. Please remember to collect your entire luggage before exiting the baggage claim area in the terminal of arrival or to be there in good time if you are departing from the airport.

Parking – There are around 6,000 parking spaces available at Gimpo airport and they are divided into 4 separate parking lots located in different areas of the airport. The fees are based on whether or not your vehicle belongs to the small or large car category. Each parking lot has its own separate parking fee system.

Valet parking is an available service.

Rental Cars – Unless otherwise informed you will find the rental car companies at Gimpo Airport on floor 1 of the Domestic Terminal, in between Gates 3-5. Pick up and drop off is located next to Gate 8. However, always follow the instructions from the rental car company of your choice.

Buses – There are several different bus lines servicing Gimpo Airport starting around 5 in the mornings and ending around 11 in the evenings. The bus stops can be found right outside the exits of the passenger terminal buildings, both the Domestic and the International. The bus ride takes around 45 minutes depending on where in the city you are going to or coming from.

Tickets can be purchased directly from the bus driver or at the transport counters in the airport terminals and the price for a single one-way ticket is around 1,400 Won whichever bus option you choose.

Taking the bus is the cheapest of the transfer options, but it is also the slowest.

Taxis – While there are several options of taxis servicing Gimpo airport the standard orange taxis are the most common choice.

For those wanting to be able to communicate in English, Chinese or Japanese there is an International Taxi option available for pre-booking at least 24 hours ahead of time.

Other options are the Deluxe and the Jumbo taxis.

The taxi stands are located outside both the Domestic and the International Terminal exits and across the road.

A taxi ride from the airport to central Seoul takes around 30-40 minutes depending on traffic and the passenger is expected to pay for any tolls that might be on the way. The basic fare is around KRW 15,000.

Train – There are four subway lines servicing Gimpo airport and three of them run between the airport and Seoul, one of them connects Gimpo International Airport with Incheon International Airport.

The two All Stops lines are line 5 and line 9 and the ride takes around 22 minutes to Seoul city center from Gimpo International Airport.

The subway platform can be found underground by following the transportation signs down the escalators.

A one-way single ticket costs around KRW 1,500 plus a KRW 500 deposit that will be fully refunded using the refund deposit machines at the destination station.

Don't forget - if you plan to travel during your stay, it might be more economical to rent a car at Seoul Gimpo Airport.
